Over the weekend (Sat. August 17th), we held our 2nd Annual 4 Lady Scramble Tournament Sponsored by l'Ami's Garden Centre - at Highview Golf Course.
We had a full field of 124 ladies that participated in the one-day event. The women experienced a beautiful Saturday for golf, as the forecasted rain held off until after the golfers were headed back home!
This year we had some amazing scores throughout all four of the flights. Especially the Championship flight, as it was compiled of groups that shot 66 to 69 (-6 to -3)!
In the end, we had two teams who finished with a score of Minus-6, 66!
With no playoff hole scenario, the winner for our 4 Lady Scramble is determined by retrogression ~ starting at Hole #18 going in reverse order (18, 17, 16...)
As both teams birdied the 18th hole, the tie was broken on the Hole #17 after retrogression was used.
On that note, the 2024 Highview 4 Lady Scramble Champions are;
Nat Brunette, Karen Waller, Diane Bednarz & Viv Degagne.
They won their first 4 Lady Scramble Championship with their terrific score of 66!
The team finishing in 2nd place by retrogression was the group of Lorraine Martin, Bonnie Tweedle, Beth Beattie & Gisele Cousineau - who also shot a 66 for a tight finish.
This is the first Ladies' Tournament win for Brunette/Waller/Bednarz/Degagne at Highview.
All of whom have come close to winning our 2 & 3 Lady Tournaments in the past.
